As the first step in quality care, our veterinarian will perform a thorough physical examination on your pet. Then, as necessary, we will utilize modern diagnostic technology such as blood and urine analyses and radiography. In certain cases, we may refer a patient to a local veterinary specialist, for consultation concerning surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, or oncology.

We have a fully equipped surgical suite, utilizing modern anesthetics and monitoring of surgical patients with state-of-the-art pulse oximetry.

We emphasize the importance of good oral hygiene as just one part of maintaining your pet's good health. We perform dental prophylaxes with one of the most modern ultrasonic cleaners, enabling a thorough and efficient, yet gentle, cleaning of your pet's teeth. When periodontal disease has progressed, we are also able to perform more advanced procedures such as surgical extractions and periodontal surgery.

One of the keys to good health is nutrition. We will provide the information, and at times, the materials to provide your pet with a better nutritional alternative than just another bag of food. We will often recommend the use of specific nutritional supplements. We carry a full line of Standard Process supplements, Medi-Herb, Nature's Sunshine herbs, Seven Forests chinese herbs, along with a variety of other nutrients and whole food supplements. Steve's Real Food For Pets and Nature's Variety Prairie pet foods are all available in at our clinic.

In addition to offering complete medical, dental and surgical care, we also offer chiropractic examinations and adjustments, and acupuncture treatments for dogs and cats. Spinal manipulation and adjustment is an important tool in the restoration or maintenance of optimum health for your pet. Acupuncture can be a powerful adjunct to the spinal manipulations and nutritional therapies. 

In order to minimize the risks of vaccinations, we encourage the use of antibody titers to evaluate immune status, rather than the usual practice of annual vaccinations.
